The ARIADNE-Traceability Number (“P-number”)
“Traceability” is the ability to verify the origin of a fruit from the field where it was grown. That is only made possible if all stages on the fruit’s “journey”, from harvesting to the shop where you buy it, are exactly known. The Ariadne-traceability system guarantees that the biocyclic fruit you buy hasn’t lost its identity on that journey, so as if it had kept its “passport”.
On every label or package you will find a traceability number, which always starts with a “P”. Therefore, it is called “P-number”. The “P-number” helps you to verify the “passport” of the product you’ve bought whenever you want. Just search in the section “P-numbers” for the P-number of your package and click on the link. You will get information about the grower, the field on which your fruit was grown, when it was harvested, and also when and where it was packed. The P-number can even tell us, from where you bought your fruit. Furthermore, you can get interesting information about the cultivation area, the variety and the grower.
On some packages you will already find a QR-Code. Scan it with your smart phone and you will get directly all the information of your P-number.
